MTR Unroasted Seviyan Vermicelli 850g is made from 100% wheat suji (semolina) and is ideal for preparing traditional Indian breakfast dishes and desserts. Also known as semiya or sevai, this wheat vermicelli is suitable for making semiya upma, vegetable pulao, payasam and kheer.
Unlike pre-roasted vermicelli, this variety can be roasted before cooking to achieve the desired flavour and texture.

Cooking Instructions
For Semiya Upma, roast the vermicelli until golden brown. In a separate pan, heat oil and sauté mustard seeds, curry leaves, onions, green chillies and vegetables. Add water and salt, bring to a boil, then add the roasted vermicelli. Cook for approximately 8–10 minutes until tender.
Storage Instructions
Store in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and moisture. After opening, transfer to an airtight container.
